Anthony Joshua has pledged to”expose” Andy Ruiz Jr within their own world heavyweight championship rematch.
Ruiz Jr stunned the WBA, IBF and WBO titles to be won by Joshua in June but a second fight will take place in Saudi Arabia on December 7, now live on Sky Sports Box Office.
“A little blip should not change you as a individual,” Joshua exclusively told Sky Sports out of Saudi Arabia in a media conference on Wednesday.
“You should stay consistent with who you are.
“I will become acquainted with him. I know what I am searching for. I know what I’m capable of. I understand what he’s really capable of.
“I understand a few of the features he possesses, and a number of the flaws. About exposing him a little bit more, I have to go.
“The first time I had him down [from the first fight], I could have been brighter. These things you consider in your head.
“Now I meet him eye-to-eye again and again, subconsciously, the clock is ticking and I start thinking increasingly more about the struggle.”
Joshua and Ruiz Jr went face to face for the very first time since their battle when they reconvened the positioning of the rematch, from Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
Ruiz Jr told Sky Sports:”He will bring his game, I will bring mine.
“I said I would win, I stated I’d pull off an upset but nobody thought me anyhow my team.
“With that confidence and fire in you? In the event you want to accomplish something, you are going to get it done.
“Joshua is focused to get these belts back but so am I. The Mexican blood will [help me to] pull off it.
“I respect Joshua. Although he probably does not like me 13, he is a friend that is good! But inside the ring there’ll be no friends.
“I’m always the nice man but inside the ring I [imagine ] the switch and that I turned into’The Destroyer’.”
