Blueberries
The antioxidants in blueberries help neutralize free radicals that age the body.

I am an unapologetic green tea fanatic! So, when I stumbled across this recipe I immediately ran to my Vitamix and to try it out. Much to my delight it was AMAZING!

The green tea and blueberries combine for a 1, 2 antioxidant punch to fight off dangerous free radicals in your system. Meanwhile, the banana and vanilla soy milk put the “smooth” in this delicious smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 green tea bag
  • 2 tsp honey (optional)
  • 1.5 cups frozen blueberries
  • ½ ripe banana
  • ¾ cup light vanilla soy milk

You can use your favorite green tea, but as a general rule the cleaner the tea the better. I highly recommend Numi’s Gunpowder Green Tea or Tazo’s Pan Fired Green Tea. Both are organic.

This Is How We Do It

  1. Steep the tea in hot water for about 3 minutes
  2. Add honey if desired
  3. Blend blueberries, banana and milk in blender
  4. Add in tea
  5. Blend all ingredients until thick and smooth
  6. Enjoy!
