How to have a healthy Valentine's Day
Burning off the calories from all that chocolate is the fun part!

Valentine’s Day is full of love… a love of chocolates, luxurious dinners, and a ton of calories. And while you (should) love your sweetie, you probably aren’t crazy about that last part.

Here are three super easy ways to keep the calorie count down while still being the king or queen of romance.

Spoiler: This ends in the bedroom!

Step 1: Where It All Began

Think back to when you first started dating. Did anything spark more feelings of romance than walking hand-in-hand with your better half? For many of us, this is where love began and today it’s the perfect way to set the table for an incredibly romantic Valentine’s Day.

You’ll both also be burning calories while lighting the flames of love. Stroll for about an hour and you’ll each burn about 220 calories while giving your metabolism a boost before a heading to a candlelight dinner.

Step 2: Indulge In Love, Not Calories

About that dinner… don’t go crazy! It’s okay to indulge a little bit, but try to find a dish that isn’t too high in fat and calories.

If it’s steak you crave, try ordering the sirloin rather than a richer cut such as a prime rib. A six-ounce cut of prime rib has 667 calories while the sirloin is a lean, mean 250 calories. Other good options include chicken and fish, but be mindful of how it’s prepared.

Desert is another great opportunity to get sparks flying — a dish for two, please. Splitting a treat automatically halves the fat and calories. Good news! Have you seen how many calories are in some of these things?!

Of course I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention you should consider skipping dessert if you’ve been munching on chocolate all day.

Step 3: Sex Keeps You Thin

This is where you’re going to burn the bulk of the calories and have the most fun! Check out just how many calories you burn during sex.
